The unique Town of Broome is located in the last Wilderness Frontier of The Kimberley, in the tropical North West of the Australian Continent. It is so isolated that the next town of any size, Darwin or Perth, is over 2000 kms away.
Broome acts as the gateway to this pristine area. There are numerous Resort style hotels, caravan parks and hostels. Luxury Safari Camps in the bush or on the beach and indigenous accommodation, accessible by boat and helicopter. Remote camping with four wheel drive only.
Gorges, meteor craters, tidal waterfalls, islands, coral shoals..... but to mention a few of the attractions.
The Town is situated on a small peninsular with an International Airport right in the middle. The pristine shallows of Roebuck Bay to the East and the vast Indian Ocean to the West. Get out of your plane and stroll over to your Hotel. Cable Beach stretches from, Gantheaume Point with its Dinosaurs' footprints, for 25 kms north, to the Willie Creek Pearl Farm, with saltwater crocodiles and salt flats. "Pindan" cliffs which stain the white beaches blood red when the rains eventually arrive. Spectacular sunsets and the phenomena, "The Staircase to the Moon".
Lagoons, sandbars, creeks and a ten meter tide make this golden beach spectacular. An abundance of water and bird life.
Broome....you can just relax or get busy exploring and experiencing one of the last "Wild West Frontiers"
The 'Trike', weight shift micro light aircraft, is the ultimate way to see, photograph, and experience this unique location. With your Pilot’s certificate all this and more is possible.
